Antistatic Nonwoven Fabric

Antistatic Fabric

Throughout the day, the clothes we wear—such as undershirts, shirts, t-shirts, and pants—can generate static electricity due to friction with our bodies or other materials. This static charge can build up on the body.

The accumulated static charge can reach up to 5,000 volts. When a person touches a grounded object, a discharge of electricity occurs. We often experience this in everyday life—when touching a doorknob or shaking hands, we may feel or even see a small electric spark caused by static discharge.

In addition to being a minor inconvenience in daily life, static electricity is an undesirable feature in medical clothing, laboratory environments, and face masks. In these cases, static charge can cause dust retention, violating hygiene standards.

Our company produces antistatic fabrics that prevent such issues. These fabrics contain carbon fibers that act like lightning rods, attracting and neutralizing static charges.

Antistatic fabrics do not discharge electricity instantly but maintain a specific surface resistance to ensure safe and controlled electrostatic discharge, enhancing safety in sensitive environments.
